Proposed Bromborough Re-cycle Park for the Wirral

A planning application has been submitted to Wirral Borough Council to construct a Multi Discipline Cycling Facility on the former Bromborough Dock Landfill Site.

Biffa Waste Services Limited in association with MaxTrax instructed Sirius Planning (formerly Stratus Environmental) to prepare a planning application for a Re-cycle Park at Bromborough.

The site is situated on the former Bromborough Dock South Landfill. Port Sunlight River Park, the former Bromborough Dock North Landfill Site, lies to the north-west of the site and provides an attractive green space and cohesive waterfront. The proposed Re-cycle Park will complete the overall masterplan of the former Bromborough Landfill.

The Re-cycle Park will consist of a national standard BMX track, pump track, mountain bike course, road bike track, skate park, car parking, welfare facilities and landscaped areas. The development will be available to all members of the community as well as serving national and international BMX events.

The planning application was submitted in November 2016.
