The role:
Due to continued growth, we require a GPS Support Engineer to join the team. The Sirius Group is a progressive and forward-thinking company investing heavily in the latest technologies and machine guidance systems. Sirius Plant has one of the most advanced fleets in the country, continually investing in machines and systems to be at the forefront of technology.
Our GPS Support Engineer will work across The Sirius Group, supporting GPS operations and teams working on land remediation projects in ourNorth East, North West andYorkshire regions. You should be dynamic and forward-thinking with the ability to work with Engineers, Site Managers and Machine Operators at our various sites. You should have competent surveying experience with an emphasis on GPS skills including machine guidance. Experience of Trimble Equipment is preferable, but not essential.
Requirements:
Excellent communication skills (in English)
Able to review, interpret and summarise information (Trimble Business Centre, LSS)
Skills to communicate instructions and show how things work
Ability to support Engineers, Site Managers & Machine Operators
Competent surveying experience with machine guidance
A good understanding of GPS technologies
Up to date with GPS skills including machine guidance
A keen interest in state-of-the-art machines and future technologies
Experience of Trimble GPS Equipment is preferable, but not essential, as further training will be given
Driving licence
Travel to project sites across our North East, North West & Yorkshire regions
