Sirius Civil Engineering – Apprentice Quantity Surveyors (Durham & Leeds)

Due to the continued expansion, Sirius Civil Engineering are recruiting two Apprentice Quantity Surveyors to join the team.

The Role
Training will be provided with commercial activities on several multi-million-pound sites across the North East & Yorkshire. Typical duties include:

• • Contract administration
• • Production of Bills of Quantities
• • Site measurement
• • Preparation of Interim Valuations and Final Accounts
• • Procurement of Subcontracts and management thereafter including payment
• • Timely and accurate valuation of variations
• • Cost Control
• • Management of Direct Labour force

The Candidate

Applicants must have a passion for a career in civil engineering / construction and have an appetite to develop their career through continued professional development. Candidates must possess the following skills:

• • Excellent interpersonal skills, as you will be dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
• • High level of academic skills demonstrated via GCSE results or similar including Grade A in mathematics
• • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• • A methodical worker, with a natural ability to problem solving
• • Technically minded and open to learning how to use different types of technology and software
• • Excellent IT skills
