On Friday 3rd October 2008 Sirius Durham held a fundraising day for the charity Jeans for Genes. “Jeans for Genes aims to change the world for children affected by genetic disorders. We do this with the funds you help us to raise on Jeans for Genes Day which this year takes place on Friday 3rd October.” http://www.jeansforgenes.com/
At Sirius we believe in helping charities like Jeans for Genes in fundraising events. Not only because it is helping millions of lives each year but also because it is giving a little back.
For this event there was a variety of ways employee’s could donate to Jeans for Genes. These were:
- Paying £2 to come to work in Jeans.
- Raffle tickets to win luxury prices such as DVD player,
Champagne, HMV vouchers all kindly donated from Sirius and Sirius staff. - Fresh cakes donated again from Sirius staff and loved ones (these were delicious and big thanks for those taking the time to make them).
Overall the office managed to raise £102.17 so a BIG thanks to everyone’s donations.
