Sirius entered two crews in the Durham Allcomers Regatta held on the River Wear on Saturday 28^th June, with the sun shining down on the 18 crews entered. Although the mixed crew of Alastair Cook, David Brooks, Leanne Rayner and Sarah Hutchison rowed well, a combination of poor starts and rickety boats meant their challenge was doomed early on. However, the mens crew comprising Rob Schofield, Chris Brady, Phil Brown and Iain McLean, despite losing in their first heat, won through the reparche to the final, where they lost narrowly by half a length, failing to regain the trophy won last year.
