Asbestos Management 

Asbestos needs careful management from experienced, qualified surveyors. At Sirius we have a dedicated team of professionals, qualified to treat all aspects of asbestos contamination. All our lead surveyors are qualified to the P402/P405 British Institute of Occupational Hygienists (BIOH) and have a minimum of three years experience in asbestos surveying, so you can trust Sirius to identify and help eradicate the problem quickly and safely.

Asbestos can, and does, cause serious diseases such as lung and stomach cancer. The Control of Asbestos Regulation (CAR) are designed to help lower the risks by requiring duty holders of non-commercial properties to implement management plans that prevent their employees being exposed to dangerous asbestos dust.

At Sirius we can help you adhere to the law. Our asbestos service includes locating and managing the removal of asbestos. We can locate asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) and determine their condition; create a written record (paper or electronically) of the location and condition of all presumed or positively identified ACMs, plan management of asbestos repair or removal and ensure that all employees or maintenance workers of all the building's occupants are fully aware of all ACMs within the property. Using the Mastec asbestos database system we can also manage your asbestos liability. Through this database Sirius asbestos management can actively manage and programme necessary works.

At Sirius we are licensed to undertake Type 1, 2 and 3 asbestos surveys in accordance with the HSE Guidance Note: Survey, sampling and assessment of asbestos containing materials MDHS100.
